Sea glass

Glass found on beaches along oceans, bays, rivers or large lakes that has been tumbled and smoothed by the waves, water and sand, creating smooth, frosted shards of glass.

All the sea glass I use in my creations  is jewellery quality glass which means it is all naturally tumbled in the sea to produce a perfectly smooth item ready to be crafted into a wearable piece of jewellery.

I do not tumble any of the glass I collect, nor do I want to, this is why I am very choosy with the pieces I pick up from the beach. I welcome any donations of sea glass from friends and family, but I am starting to get more and more fussy with the bits I except, due to the space required to keep it all. I can only really work with smooth edged glass, and frosted is preferable (no shiny or sharp bits please) and nothing too small!

Below is a picture from Sundays session on the beach. Needed to sober up after a
heavy night on Saturday. The sofa was calling me but the beach won the fight!
Its the best cure.

wait till then just give me a call! There are five pendents,ranging in size
and one pair of green, silver bezel set earrings.

All items are hand made using Sterling Silver, soldered and polished.
The sea glass is local and found along the devon and cornwall coast.

I normally have a helper but he was playing cricket!
You can see that these pieces of Sea Glass are all smaller than a 5 pence piece. This is the perfect size for working into earrings and setting into rings. Some bits are way too small to work with but yesterday, any size was a bonus. The beach was a bit lacking on the sea glass front and I needed another set of eyes.
